On the run from the law and on the hunt for the murderer of her parents, Tracy stows away on a ship only to learn that it is under the rule of pirate captain Jo Harvelle, daughter of the notorious Pirate Queen Ellen Harvelle who continues her mother’s legacy of spreading terror on the high seas.

Tracy had planned to hide away until the ship reached the furthest port but is unable to hide from the ever-vigilant eye of Captain Jo Harvelle. When she’s found, Tracy expects to be thrown off the ship but instead, Captain Harvelle offers her a place among the crew. When the Captain’s first mate betrays her, it’s Tracy who saves her and helps her defeat the traitor, thus earning herself a place at Captain Harvelle’s side for the rest of their journeys.
